Moldcell has been awarded the title of “Best Mobile Network in Moldova” for the first half of 2025, following a rigorous evaluation of real-world mobile network performance by Ookla® Speedtest®.
Moldcell was officially recognized as the best mobile network in the Republic of Moldova for the first half of 2025, based on the award granted by Ookla, the global leader in connectivity intelligence and the creator of the Speedtest® platform. This marks the second consecutive year Moldcell has received major recognition from Ookla, after being named the fastest mobile network in the country in 2024. The award is based on a score that reflects the actual quality of user experience across real-world connectivity scenarios.
Ookla analyzed data collected throughout the first six months of the year from users across all mobile networks in the country. The evaluation included download and upload speeds, latency, web browsing performance, and video streaming quality. Moldcell achieved the highest overall score in the market, 71.42, outperforming all other mobile operators in Moldova.
What does “Best Mobile Network” really mean?
It provides a reliable measure of the overall fixed and mobile network connected experience. The Speedtest Connectivity Score combines various real-world network performance metrics, such as speed, latency, and quality of experience for everyday activities like web browsing and video streaming. The methodology ensures that the results reflect a user’s experience across multiple activities, with each aspect contributing to the Speedtest Connectivity Score.
