Online safety
In 2023, the national online safety program, #InternetWithoutWorries, trained over 20,000 children in internet safety. In 2022, the interactive IFG platform was launched, accessed daily by over 100 children, increasing digital literacy and security awareness.
The #InternetWithoutWorries project aims to raise awareness about online safety among users and the wider community, for different age groups and social statuses.
Digital Inclusion
In 2023, over 25,000 people benefited from Moldcell Foundation’s digital inclusion initiatives, contributing to bridging the digital divide and promoting equitable access to technology. A key initiative is the digital inclusion program for older persons, “Digital Skills Connect Generations.” Through this program, 630 seniors from 25 localities received internet-connected smartphones and were trained, with the help of over 200 volunteers, to use them and access digital services.
In addition, the “Third Age University” was launched to provide lifelong learning opportunities for seniors, with plans to expand to Cahul and Bălți. These initiatives have laid the foundation for the National Active and Healthy Aging Program.
Education and createch
For over 4 years, the Moldcell Foundation has been supporting creative industries, including the Artcor and Mediacor creative centers. In 2023, the Foundation signed a memorandum of support for the Professions of the Future and awarded 20 merit scholarships to students of the “Professions of the Future” bachelor’s programs.
Moldcell Foundation actively supports young talents and promotes cultural heritage. Through partnerships with the COR Association and the Artcor Center, the Foundation encourages young graduates to develop their talents at home and create a community of professionals who promote products and services worldwide. Initiatives include artistic events, courses for young people in the creative fields, social projects, access to the latest technologies, digitization of the cultural environment, and preservation of national heritage.
Social Business
In an effort to support NEET (Not in Education, Employment, or Training) youth in Moldova’s regions, the Moldcell Foundation launched the Social Entrepreneurship School in collaboration with the Henry Capitant Association. Through this initiative six social entrepreneurship schools were organized his in three regions: Hîncești, Căușeni, and Dubăsari.
These schools provided training and resources to young people, resulting in the launch of six social businesses with the help of grants. This effort encourages entrepreneurship and addresses the socio-economic challenges faced by young people in these regions.
